REVIEW ON "AMPT" LIVE BAND SHOW
Show began at 8pm, some nice vibes opening with the live band!
We got a nice show from the January open mic shows winner, Chantelle angelina.
Her deliverance, her soulful sultry soft voice had presence, kept the audience engaged and definitely showed us she can sing! Definitely a fine example that the UK has amazing singers and not just in church choirs or made up 'studio singers'.

DOOM MAN

CARTEY
CALVIN ROCHE

MARCIE PHONIX AND HYPA FEN

MAFFI ELLA, CITY AND ICE CREAM

Seeing some usual and known faces was nice as well as seeing some new ones whom were really getting into the live action.
A special guest appearance by Leeds football player Jermaine Beckford, the usual socialites, and industry people including Sadie Ama, Dj Chucky, Lena FaceforMusic, Scorcher, Dj Shafty, Bigman Zest, to name a few.

Overall the show was enjoyable. The band especially the drummer proved to be talented, and poses a great talent in being able to play anything that got shouted out to them. The headline acts absolutely brought fire! The comedian seemed as if he self doubted himself... Already assumed the crowd wouldn't laugh or didn't get the joke before he was through. Mind you he had me in laughter with his BLICK joke, HATING, and FAT PEOPLE. #sad but true. The only lady on the bill was Princess Nya.... A true Princess she is, and one that can hold her own amongst her male counterparts whilst looking like a true Princess. She stepped in a dress that was very impressionable and showed she can get down in her heels whilst performing her club hits and new record 'hooligans'.
Big man Zest proved he can move for a big guy, get the crowd moving and has some serious lyrical flow.
The ones who shocked me most were Calvin Roche, Doom man and Cartey! Calvin's deliverance and style had my engaged throughout his entire performance and threw me completely, but pleasantly, with his vocal range. I remember listening to Doom man from his earlier Marvel days and Cartey from his Fatal attraction days. Long plaits, sweaty under 18 raves comes to mind. So to see them both on stage doing their thing was a nice thing to see. Its one thing to see London or UK talent but from my era and home town is even more. VIBRANT MAGAZINE SALUTES YOU BOTH.
Ive now downloaded my copy of 'Dooms Day'.
The performance from Skrills, Mafi ella, Ice cream and City may be said to have been over the top but in fact I enjoyed their presence! They ALL moved and worked the stage like true performers. Longevity is another topic! Lets hope its not another case of female MC's/ Rappers being present one minute and then the next no one remembers them or Rappers in general who only appeal to a certain audience and couldn't cross over mainstream. We hope to catch up with them soon for an interview!!!!
AMPT AND THE WHOLE TEAM.... VIBRANT MAGAZINE SALUTES AND COMMENDS YOU FOR YOUR CONSTANT MONTHLY STRUGGLE TO PROVIDE THE UK'S FINEST! WE DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS EVENING OUT.
THE PERFECT SUNDAY ENTERTAINMENT.

PARIS FASHION WEEK HIGHLIGHTS
This show was heavily inspired by the principal boy/ school boy in a pantomime, hence the Prince Charming theme which was the starting point. Think Oliver Twist. That, at least, goes some way to explaining the moustaches – part Salvador Dali, part George Michael – which were painted on the models’ faces. It gave a masculine look but femininity overcomes and balances out the whole look. Generally baggy clothes and lose fits.

Designer Alber Elbaz’s collection was filled with his usual simple and feminine trade mark. Some link it to the sporty, casual character of Lanvin's 1920s outfits. The catwalk was graced with voluminous sleeves, draped, flowing into the sinuously seamed dresses. Most in rich browns, greens. Deep dark and easy colours.

This collection Gautier displays a great range, creativity, a few glamorous inspirational notes from what seems to be Hispanic & western cultures. A few different periods from the Mexican sector definitely is apparent. Aztecs, wealthy, chic Mexicans springs out. Gaultier presented a very imaginative collection for the haute couture SS10 season. The catwalk was graced by models such as sessilee lopez, iris sturbegger & anja rubik. And they were topped with braids & sombreros.
