Vivienne Westwood Gold Label autumn/winter 2010/2011 collection
This show was heavily inspired by the principal boy/ school boy in a pantomime, hence the Prince Charming theme which was the starting point. Think Oliver Twist. That, at least, goes some way to explaining the moustaches – part Salvador Dali, part George Michael – which were painted on the models’ faces. It gave a masculine look but femininity overcomes and balances out the whole look. Generally baggy clothes and lose fits.

LANVIN/AUTUMN/WINTER 2010/2011 COLLECTION
Designer Alber Elbaz’s collection was filled with his usual simple and feminine trade mark. Some link it to the sporty, casual character of Lanvin's 1920s outfits. The catwalk was graced with voluminous sleeves, draped, flowing into the sinuously seamed dresses. Most in rich browns, greens. Deep dark and easy colours.

Jean Paul Gaultier/Autumn/Winter2010/2011 COLLECTION
This collection Gautier displays a great range, creativity, a few glamorous inspirational notes from what seems to be Hispanic & western cultures. A few different periods from the Mexican sector definitely is apparent. Aztecs, wealthy, chic Mexicans springs out. Gaultier presented a very imaginative collection for the haute couture SS10 season. The catwalk was graced by models such as sessilee lopez, iris sturbegger & anja rubik. And they were topped with braids & sombreros.
